Mental Health Treatment – Fairfax, VA
Since 1997, Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program has provided compassionate and measurement-based mental health disorder treatment to those in need. We are pleased to bring this quality care to our Discovery outpatient facility in Fairfax. Our day treatment program provides separate care for adolescents and adults in need of partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programming. Here, you will benefit from one-on-one therapeutic support as well as group sessions in a supportive environment of peers where you can safely practice new skills that are used in the home. We provide the School Support Program for adolescents and offer the Stars & Stripes Program if you’re a veteran, active-duty military, first responder or a family member.
Our Fairfax location is convenient to Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, McLean and other Fairfax County locations.

School Program
This program is offered to young patients, where an education liaison supervises and supports them through their schoolwork. The education liaison also collaborates with the patient’s therapist to ensure they have the right environment in place for learning, which will in turn help them reintegrate into their school after treatment.
Family Support
Families are a big part of the healing process, which is why we offer weekly sessions during treatment. Once treatment is done, family members can access an alumni app and online support groups.
