For Professionals: Refer a Patient

Every professional wants to see their patients experience change, growth and success. Discovery Mood & Anxiety will help them get there.

Our measurement-based care approach to mental health treatment helps our patients succeed. By carefully examining 27 distinct wellness indicators, including personal history, co-occurring conditions, and physical and mental health, we’re able to carefully curate a truly personalized treatment plan that’ll help your patient during (and after) their treatment. Because what gets measured gets better.

Our nationwide treatment centers and online programming are staffed by caring, devoted professionals who see their careers as callings, not jobs. They’ll act as guides for your patient as they journey toward a life worth living.

Plus, they’ll have access to Discovery365™, our groundbreaking recovery platform. Driven by cutting-edge technology, Discovery365 leverages AI to let your patient know when they need extra support. It’s also a bridge to resources, connections and more.

When Should I Refer My Patient to Discovery Mood & Anxiety?

There are several indications that can mean it’s time to refer your patient to us:

They’re a Danger to Themselves or Others: Suicidal ideation is obviously a major warning sign. Also, their judgment might be impaired as well.
They’re Unable to Care for Themselves: Sometimes, mental health disorders can make it hard for a person to take care of themselves.
Their Symptoms are Rapidly Worsening: Symptoms that rapidly become more intense can put your patient into danger or make daily functioning impossible.
Their Progress Has Stalled: Your patient has reached a point in their treatment where their therapeutic progress has plateaued or halted.
Their Environment is Disruptive: Family dynamics, workplace (or school) stress, and other distractions are making treatment increasingly difficult for your patient.

If you notice your patient beginning to regress or feel their current level of care is no longer meeting their needs, it may be time to consider a higher level of support. Discovery Mood & Anxiety is prepared to provide that next step. Our team facilitates a smooth, respectful transition into treatment and keeps you updated throughout the process.

When it’s time for your patient to step back down, we’ll coordinate a thoughtful and well-structured return to your practice. We prioritize continuity and aftercare, recognizing that recovery continues long after formal treatment ends.

Your role remains essential in their healing journey, and we’re here to strengthen that partnership every step of the way.
