Since 1997, Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program has provided compassionate and evidence-based mental health disorder treatment to thousands of patients. We are proud to now have a location in the beautiful Sunflower State with our newest mental health disorder facility in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee that serves adults 18 and over of all genders. We are conveniently located to support those in the greater Kansas City area, and close to the Kansas City (MCI) Airport to accommodate patients and families coming from out of state.
Treatment at our Kansas City center is customized and employs a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) , acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and more. Here, patients benefit from one-on-one therapeutic support as well as group sessions in an encouraging environment of peers where they can safely practice new skills that are transferable to home.
