
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Beth Walsh, LPC-Master’s
Beth is an experienced master’s level licensed professional counselor with more than 25 years of mental health experience in the Houston area. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and she later received a master’s degree in counseling from the College of William & Mary. She has worked with adolescents in a residential treatment facility, and adults in hospital, clinic and rehabilitation facilities. While working at TIRR Memorial Hermann rehabilitation hospital, she was honored with Employee of the Season and nominated for Employee of the Year. While at TIRR, she also served on the Partners in Caring committee, as well as serving as a TBI board member. While working at the UT Health Science Center, she was trained and coached in the use of Motivational Interviewing, and she provided counseling sessions to more than 200 patients, using a rigorous standardized protocol. While at MHMRA, Beth worked as a clinical team leader where she supervised and managed a team of bachelor’s and master’s level clinicians, and she was honored with the title, “Team Morale Booster.” Beth started working as a primary therapist with Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Houston when it first opened, where she provided individual, family and group therapy with adolescents and adults in both IOP and PHP programs. Beth has since transitioned from her role as primary therapist and has been promoted to her current role as program director, where she provides clinical oversight of the program.
