Irving, TX

Since 1992, Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program has provided compassionate and evidence-based mental health disorder treatment to those in need. We are delighted to bring this quality care to the DMA facility in Irving, Texas, just northwest of Dallas. The Irving center, which accepts patients 24/7, provides separate residential care to adolescents and young adults of all genders.
We are committed to continuing to be good partners to those in the great state of Texas, as we have been operating in other cities such as Austin, Dripping Springs and Houston. Establishing these strong relationships here helps us better serve the patients and their support systems who walk through our doors. Our residential center in Irving is situated on lush grounds and is a closed facility, making this a peaceful yet highly secure setting for our patients. The center is large but homelike; there are many places for one-on-one therapy, group sessions or times to reflect on the progress being made at treatment. DMA Irving is conveniently located next to major freeways and highways and is approximately 8 miles from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.
Building ESTEEM™ with Evidence-Based Treatment
Our Discovery ESTEEM System™ provides individualized care to help patients develop the skills and confidence they need to create the life they want. Along with customized care, we employ a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and more. Here, patients benefit from one-on-one therapeutic support as well as group sessions in an encouraging environment of peers where they can safely practice new ways of coping that are transferable to home.
For school-aged patients, we ensure that they are able to focus on recovery while staying on track with studies through our comprehensive School Support Program. Experiential therapies are also available, which includes music and art, for a well-rounded experience.
DMA Support After Treatment
Patients can also expect programs after treatment, such as:
- Aftercare to facilitate transitions and challenges post-discharge.
- A customized Discovery app to provide information, resources and a community of support for family members.
- Discovery alumni online support groups, in-person and virtual events for family members and patients to assist in post-discharge transition and provide an ongoing support system to facilitate long-term recovery.
- Discovery 365™, our exclusive app that uses breakthrough AI technology to intervene when you need additional support during the first year post-treatment.
