COVID-19 Update: Online Telehealth is now being offered through Discovery Mood & Anxiety as an alternate to in-person partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Learn more about our Online Telehealth treatment program here.

We will continue to offer residential treatment for individuals who need a higher level of care. You can learn about all that we are doing to protect the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff here.

The Fresno facility is gender-inclusive for adolescents 11 to 17 years old. In this private home-style setting we limit service to 6 clients at a time, ensuring that everyone receives individualized and personal care. We treat a variety of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and co-occurring disorders.

We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood off FWY 41 and within walking distance of Fresno’s scenic Woodward Park.

Sarah Wiens, LMFT, RYT-500

Program Director

Sarah is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health. She has worked extensively with children, teens, transitional-age-youth and adults who are considered at-risk, severely and chronically mentally ill, and/or have severe/complex trauma. Sarah works collaboratively with clients and their families to assist in stabilization, healing, and “a life worth living,” using holistic and evidence-based approaches to treatment. Sarah is also a registered yoga teacher with her advanced 500-hour yoga teaching certification with a specialization in trauma-sensitive yoga.

Sarah recognizes that it takes a village, and since joining the Discovery Mood and Anxiety Program in Fresno as program director, she has been leading the team of skilled and competent professionals who work to provide support and facilitate growth as teens learn skills to support long-term recovery.

Priscilla Lynch, LVN

Priscilla Lynch, LVN

Facility Manager

Priscilla is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with 2.5 years of experience working in acute adolescent inpatient treatment. Prior to that, her work focused on autism spectrum disorders, developmentally disabled adults, and in ICU, ER, and hospital settings. Priscilla has ample experience working with adolescents and adults in acute crisis, both with their physical and mental health, and with those struggling with a variety of mental health issues, developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis and substance abuse.

Since joining the Discovery Mood and Anxiety Program in Fresno as facility manager, Priscilla has worked tirelessly to ensure that the house runs smoothly and the needs of the clients are taken care of. Priscilla has 6 children of her own at home, so she not only knows how to run a tight ship, but is also caring and empathetic. Considered to be “house mom,” Priscilla’s priority is always the health and safety of the clients. Parents adore her, and tend to stay in contact with her long after discharge, providing updates and anecdotes of their teen’s continued recovery. Patient and calm in a crisis, Priscilla understands that residents are working through a very difficult time in their lives, and need that extra support that comes from staff who truly care and love what they do.
