Substance Use Disorder

What is Substance Use Disorder?

If you or someone you know has a pattern of using alcohol or drugs (legal or illegal) that leads to health issues or problems at home, work, or school, then it’s likely they may have a substance use disorder (SUD). There are many different types of SUD, including the following:

Co-Occurring Disorders

If an individual has substance use addiction, typically they will have a co-occurring mood or anxiety disorder, as well. It’s important that both the addiction, as well as the mood and/or anxiety order be treated to achieve a life of lasting recovery. At Discovery Mood & Anxiety, we provide treatment at select locations for co-occurring disorders using evidence-based treatment approaches.
